Maria Shim joined Google in 2005 and is currently a Director on the Corporate Development team, which is responsible for the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of Google's mergers, acquisitions, and investments. She has worked on deals such as the acquisitions of Nest, Dropcam, Adometry, and Channel Intelligence. Maria also leads outbound M&A initiatives and the Entrepreneurs@Google effort. Prior to this role, she joined Google as its first investor relations manager and was responsible for investor and analyst communications, building and maintaining Google's relationships with shareholders as well as managing all investor events.
A native of San Francisco, Maria graduated cum laude from Harvard University with an AB in economics and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
