The Domino Server logs all the web hits on the server to one log file. But if you have virtual servers set up on your Domino Server, you probably want to log the hits on each virtual server to a separate place. That way, you can keep track of each virtual server individually. You may also want to let certain users see the log for one virtual server, but not all of them. It is for this reason that we created a special edition of the Log Analyzer designed specifically for virtual servers: the Workflo!Log Analyzer VS.
The Workflo!Log Analyzer VS provides all the features of the standard Workflo!Log Analyzer. In addition, it can separate hits into different databases depending on the address used to hit the server. Consider the following example:
This diagram shows a Domino Server with three virtual servers set up on it. Each virtual server has its own Internet address. The hits from all three virtual sites are logged into the same Domino Log database. The Workflo!Log Analyzer VS can take what is in the Domino Log and split it into separate databases based on the address used to hit the server. This way, each virtual site has its own log. Each of these logs can then be accessed by the "owners" of each virtual site. They will only see the hits on their site, not the other virtual sites. Each log can also have its own unique configuration. All the filters, settings, even purging/archiving and statistics requests can be set differently for each log without affecting the other logs.

A separate license is required for each DomLog.nsf file being analyzed. Each license applies to a single Domino Server running up to the specified number of virtual servers. A Five Virtual Server License allows one Domino Server to log up to five virtual servers. The Unlimited license allows any number of virtual servers to be logged on one Domino Server.
